The symptoms are not recognized by parents because children sometimes can not even explain what was wrong with his leg. Find out, what are the signs a child has problems in his legs.

Foot is a vital organ with its function to help a person walking, running to perform various activities. Hence it is important to always pay attention and recognize the growth of the foot early symptoms if there is something wrong with children’s feet.

American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons give five signs that must be considered by parents as an early warning.

1. Children can not run to follow his friends.
If the children are always left behind when playing or exercising with her friends, it may be because your child’s feet get tired faster.

Fatigue is a common thing that happens if the child has flat feet, is due to leg muscles do not function well as it should be so quick to feel tired.

2. Children stopped from activities that are always enjoyed.
If children are reluctant to participate again in the usual activities enjoyed, possibly because there are parts of his bad leg and is usually on the heel foot problems.

This problem is often seen in children aged 8 to 14 years who are actively participating in extracurricular. Repeated stress resulting from these activities can cause muscle tension and inflammation, and the most vulnerable areas are in the back of the heel.

3. Children do not want to show her legs.
Children often do not want to tell you about pain or a change in the foot on the parents, because children are afraid invited to see a doctor.

If the child does not want to show her legs, then the parent should have to carefully consider any changes that occur as calluses, growth, skin discoloration, or swelling around the toenail.

4. Children often fall while walking or running.
Children who often fell when he was running or walking can be a sign that something was wrong at the toes, balance problems or neurological conditions in the muscle.

5. Children complained of leg pain.
Children usually only the parents would complain if you feel very sick, that means the pain is felt the child had been going on since a few days ago. Parents should immediately check the condition of the child to the doctor’s feet.

If the child has any of these five signs, parents should immediately take action making a diagnosis and appropriate treatment for your child’s feet.

Premature babies are vulnerable with various illnesses that need special handling. One of the most vulnerable disease occurs in premature infants is Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP). The disease is also a cause of child blindness in developed countries and some developing countries.

ROP in premature infants may be accompanied by minimal visual impairment, or the growth of abnormal blood vessels in the retina, which in turn can lead to retina ablation.

ROP Risk

The younger and smaller babies alive, the risk of ROP baby is greater. Premature infants less than 32 weeks or weighing less than 1500 grams have increased risk of ROP.

Some of the triggers that cause the appearance of ROP is the provision of oxygen that is less precise (excessive).

More attacking a baby boy

Baby boy is risk of ROP more than female infants. The cause is not known for sure, these allegations emerged because many patients a baby boy who often contract the disease.

In premature infants, the growths in the retina of the eye are not perfect and should be observed continued growth. Therefore, four weeks after the birth of screening should be done. With screening in premature infants the ROP can be prevented with early detection. Early handling can also get more leverage.

Early Detection

ROP did not directly cause blindness. Usually after a certain age the baby will lose his sight, so long could not see at all. This is why detection early and long-lasting prevention needs to be done until your baby is past childhood.

ROP incident has nothing to do with the use of incubators for the hospital. Likewise with the side affects incubator almost nothing.

It is usually caused by prolonged exposure to high temperatures. The heat-regulating mechanisms of the body eventually become overwhelmed and unable to effectively deal with the heat, causing the body temperature to climb uncontrollably.

Hyperthermia can also be created artificially by drugs or medical devices. In these instances it may be used to treat cancer and other conditions. Cancer cells are more heat-sensitive than healthy cells and their structure reacts differently to overheating. In 1910 the possibility of overheating in order to increase the radiation effect on malicious tumors was described for the first time. This already well-known and applied method was rediscovered as so called “whole body hyperthermia” in the beginning of the 1960s. Since the 70s a number of studies were run to further investigate this therapy form.

Research has shown that high temperatures (up to 44°C) can damage and kill cancer cells, usually with minimal injury to normal tissues. By killing cancer cells and damaging proteins and structures within cells, hyperthermia may shrink tumors.

Hyperthermia is almost always used with other forms of cancer therapy, such as radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Hyperthermia may make some cancer cells more sensitive to radiation or harm other cancer cells that radiation cannot damage. When hyperthermia and radiation therapy are combined, they are often given within an hour of each other. Hyperthermia can also enhance the effects of certain anticancer drugs, which is mutually strengthened thereby and a healing more likely – the so-called synergistic effect of hyperthermia. It was found out that cytostatic drugs (chemotherapy substances) clearly act more aggressively at temperatures over 40° C than within the range of the normal body temperature.

LINKS:

Methothelioma Cancer

Diagnosis cancer
